On March 24th at 7:30am, My Husband Chris Perry, collapsed at work after his daily meeting. Co-workers recognized an emergency situation and called 911 immediately while the others retrieved the AED located in the hallway nearby. Chris was in Cardiac Arrest and stopped breathing. At this point, Chris had a 10% chance of survival. His Co-Workers refused to let him die and hooked him up to the AED. Everyone waited patiently while watching Chris’s lifeless body. Chris was delivered a shock from the AED and began breathing! Co-Workers took turns doing chest compressions while waiting on Loudon County EMS to arrive. He was rushed to INOVA Fairfax Hospital where it was confirmed that he went into Cardiac arrest and needed to undergo surgery for an ICD Implant which is essentially an Automatic Defibrillator that would save his life in the future if this ever happened again as his diagnosis was heart failure. This procedure is very expensive. Chris is our sole provider and this is devastating for all of us. He is out of work so the donations will help us with the upcoming medical bills and other expenses. We are so blessed to still have Chris in our lives. If you know Chris, you know love. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He loves putting smiles on people’s faces and one of his last messages to a childhood friend, hours before this happened was, “…spread love and cherish every day we have here on earth. Life is short so let’s not take it for granted.” Our 5 kids are truly blessed to still have their Daddy with us because he is the best! I thank God for sparing his life and I can’t thank the guys enough who took the quick action to save my Husband’s life. You are all Angels sent from Heaven!! God bless you all. ❤️
