On December 26, 2024, Charles "Irish" Miller's son, Christopher (Chris) suffered a stroke. In response to the stroke, he was transported to the McAllen Medical Hospital, McAllen, Texas. During the treatment process, a CT scan and MRI were performed on Chris. The scans revealed a 4cm mass/tumor in Chris' brain, which later prompted Charles to transport Chris to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.
At MD Anderson, medical staff performed scans of the mass in Chris' brain. The scan revealed the mass is Glioblastoma. In response to the condition, medical staff performed a biopsy of the mass to determine the proper course of action. As of now, they are looking at an extended stay near MD Anderson and/or another facility for long-term care. The treatment will consist of surgery to remove the mass, chemotherapy, spot radiation, and rehab.
Charles will also have to seek out a temporary residence in the Houston, Texas area. This will facilitate the various treatments for Chris.
Charles Miller is a retired Border Patrol Agent and a United States Marine who served his country for well over 30 years.
Because of the various amounts of treatments, surgery, and housing that will be incurred, I humbly ask for any donations to assist the Miller family.
