On October 15, 2025, Chris Maurer tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident while riding his custom-built FXR during the Born Free FXR Tour.
Chris was a loving husband and a remarkable mechanic whose artistry, skill, and passion for motorcycles and engines inspired everyone who knew him. Together with his wife, Summer, he built Maurer’s Motors from their garage in Parker, Colorado. What began as a two-person dream grew through countless long hours, weekends, and unwavering dedication into one of the Denver Metro area’s most respected shops—known for its exceptional customer service, craftsmanship, and custom builds.
Chris’s expertise was sought after both locally and nationally, and his commitment to his craft was matched only by his kindness, humility, and generosity. His smile and laughter filled the shop, creating a welcoming space for all who walked through the doors.
Motorcycles were in Chris’s blood from an early age. He lived every day doing what he loved, but his true legacy lies in the relationships he built and the lives he touched. Chris was a devoted friend, a genuine soul, and above all, a loving husband. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void at Maurer’s Motors and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
This fundraiser has been created for those who wish to support Summer, Chris’s family, and the Maurer’s Motors team during this unimaginably difficult time. Contributions will help cover funeral expenses, provide support for the family, and help keep the spirit and legacy of Maurer’s Motors alive.
Chris, you left us far too soon. The road ahead will never be the same without you, but your spirit will ride on forever. For those who ride, please continue to carry the passion in Chris’s name.
