Support Chris Magers' Fight Against AFib

My name is Michael Flores and I am wanting to ask for help from my social network. In October, my General Manager Chris Magers, checked himself into the hospital thinking that he was just coming down with a standard illness. To his surprise, he was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) which was causing his symptoms. Chris has been in and out of the hospital for the past two months and unfortunately, his limited resources are running thin. His medical bills are piling up as he is still trying to overcome his complications to return to his normal day to day activities. Recently he had to return to the hospital for blood clots and his body is having a hard time recovering from this unfortunate disease.

As someone with an irregular heartbeat myself (suffering a heart attack four years ago), I know how difficult it is to recover/rehab from these difficult times. Chris has a long road to recovery, including more trips to see specialists that can hopefully help him get back being himself. Medications and treatments are expensive, even with the limited insurance coverages that he has.

Chris Magers has built a team here at the office that can keep the engine running, but it’s hard to accelerate without him here with us. I know he is doing everything he can to get back to us but we know it’s going to be a process. His goal was to create a family of successful peers around him so that we can all succeed. I use the word peer as he doesn’t see us as subordinates, he sees us as partners. He is a leader that leads by example, cares for his team (and our own wellbeing), and has always gone out of his way to help folks in need.

This is why I am asking for your help with a donation in any amount. I know it is a difficult time of the year to ask for help but I don’t want something to happen during this time and never get the chance to ask for help. If you can not give a donation at this time, it is completely understandable. I will ask that you share this story on your timeline and say a prayer for Chris. He is going to need them during this difficult road ahead
