UPDATE 11/23 : Recovering from such a massive surgery has been a long slow process and continues to be. He's doing good, his cardiac rehab has been helping. We just got a treadmill in his house today to help with exercising on non rehab days. Pain is getting better each and every day but it'll be a while before he's back to normal activities. We appreciate all the love and prayers from everyone.

UPDATE 11/03 : He's home Getting settled and taking it easy. My mom is by his side tending to his every need. It is such a blessing that he got to go home God is so good!

UPDATE 11/02 : He got moved to a recovery room, pain is still bad, working on getting that managed. We saw him for a few minutes but seeing him so uncomfortable broke my heart. Praying it gets better soon. Knowing he has an army of support is really helping him

UPDATE 11/01:

Was a rough night with minimal sleep. Chest tubes finally came out this morning and he’s more comfortable. Plan for today is walking, pain control, and moving out of ICU❤️‍

Again!! We appreciate the outpouring of prayers, love and support !! The roller coaster of emotions and stress has been the hardest part.

UPDATE 10/31, 1pm : My dad has one lung that sort of “closed off”, so he is needing oxygen and breathing treatments to open his . His chest tubes are still and draining, but draining within the hourly limits (great news). Needs medication to bring UP his blood pressure- go figure. If he can maintain a higher BP, he can get out of ICU.

UPDATE 10/31 :

I am so happy to report my dad is in the recovery room, the surgery was SUCCESSFUL They are trying to manage the pain to get him to a comfortable level. I can't even imagine how much pain he's in He's got a long way to go for recovery. We will go see him later once he's alittle more comfortable. My mom is off of work to take care of him, he will be out of work for a few months. If you have it in your heart to help support them in this time of need, it would be very much appreciated and please share! Let's show him the love!! ❤️‍ I will continue to update on here

My dad, Chris Lorenz, loving father, husband, grandfather and friend, will be having unexpected double possible triple bypass surgery this Thursday. He’s been off of work because he’s felt “off” and they finally found the culprit. His LAD “widow maker” artery is 95% blocked.

While his outlook is hopeful, the recovery will keep him out of work for several months per his surgeon without income.

This fundraiser is to help cover living expenses while he focuses on healing.
