Support Chris Lansang's Battle with Valley Fever

Hello, my name is Vanessa. I have been close friends with Princess for over 30 years. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Chris and watching their family grow. Today, I'm reaching out for support for this lovely family.

On July 24, Chris Lansang was admitted in the hospital. After many tests, he was diagnosed with a severe case of valley fever (coccidioidomycosis). According to the CDC, Valley fever is a lung infection caused by breathing in spores from the fungus, Coccidioides. While most people are able to get better on their own, Chris is in the 5-10% of patients that develop serious or long-term problems in their lungs. These long term effects will lead to continuous treatment for the next 6 - 12 months. Chris is not able to breathe without an oxygen mask at this time and the doctors are working on helping him breathe on his own. The medicinal pills are no longer effective and he started IV treatments to administer his medications. He will have to be closely monitored by the cardiologist, nephrologist, infectious disease specialist, pulmonologist, and his primary care doctor. The specialists are hoping to get him stabilized in order to be able to rest at home. If there are no other complications, he may be able to come home this Friday.

In the next 6 - 12 months, Chris will not be able to work and support his family. He is the breadwinner and takes care of the majority of the bills and spending. I'm looking to friends and family to financially support and bless this family in their time of need.

I am so amazed by this family's faith and resilience. They put all their trust in God knowing they are in his capable hands. Chris is able to stay positive and give his worries and anxiety to Him. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

4/19/25- Chris is at home recovering. It is taking longer than they had anticipated. He is not able to work while he has the infection from Valley Fever. They are in a difficult position and could use any support financially or through prayers.
