As many of you may already know, our friend Chris Keim fell off a 14 foot wall, fracturing his T12 vertebrae and damaging his spinal cord. He was life flighted to KU Medical where they had a 8 1/2 hour surgery to put 2 rods in his back. He is now at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln Nebraska where he will have 4+ weeks of physical therapy. In addition he will have outpatient therapy after he gets back home. I'm sure there are a lot of unseen costs that will still come up like setting up his car with hand controls and not being able to go back to work for at least 12 months. Chris has been in really high spirits and has been handling everything exceptionally well saying "I can still go fishing even with a wheelchair". With his athleticism, strong will, and determination they are hopeful that he will regain movement and feeling in his legs but only time will tell. Everyone in the family has been real troopers thru it all and put up their own money to cover up front costs to get him the best help possible. We as a community would like to relieve them of that burden and allow them to focus on helping him recover. Any donations and prayers are greatly appreciated!
