Help Support Chris Johnson During Hip Surgery & Recovery

For more than 15 years, Chris Johnson has been a familiar face behind the bar at Candlelight Tavern - welcoming regulars, serving friends, and taking care of people night after night. If you’ve spent any time at Candlelight, chances are Chris has taken care of you.

Now, it’s our turn to take care of him.

Chris is scheduled to undergo hip surgery on February 9, a necessary procedure that will require him to be out of work for approximately 4–6 weeks, possibly up to 8 weeks, while he recovers. As anyone in the service industry knows, time off work means no income - and medical bills don’t stop while you heal.

Chris is facing a $9,000 out-of-pocket medical co-pay, along with everyday living expenses during his recovery. Like many in hospitality, he’s been doing everything he can to get by, but this unexpected situation has created a serious financial strain.

This fundraiser was created by Lisa Glenn and Dave Bryan, the owners of the Candlelight Tavern, and Chris’s work family to help support him during this difficult time.
