Our friend Chris went in for surgery hoping to finally find relief from chronic pain. Instead, the procedure caused devastating complications that have left him struggling to breathe and facing additional surgeries. While navigating this medical crisis, Chris and his wife J also lost their home and many of their belongings in a catastrophic apartment flood.
Chris has spent the last 10 years in sobriety, building a life rooted in resilience, honesty, and commitment to the people he loves. Anyone who knows him knows the strength and heart he brings to everything he does. Recently, Chris began experiencing severe chronic pain that made everyday life increasingly difficult. After consulting with doctors, he was advised that surgery would correct the issue and finally provide relief. Tragically, the surgery did not resolve the pain and instead resulted in serious complications that paralyzed Chris’s diaphragm, leaving him struggling to breathe and requiring additional medical procedures just to stabilize his condition.
Many of the treatments, recovery costs, and specialized care he now needs are not covered by insurance, and the situation may involve medical malpractice, which means a long and uncertain legal process ahead. Please support Chris and J during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and help them rebuild their lives.
