Hey, I'm Chris. I never thought I'd see myself in this position, but life happens, right? I was married, and unfortunately, things didn't work out. I filed for divorce towards the end of 2023, and as of October 2024, the divorce was finalized. My ex-wife took the house, my dog, everything except my Dodge truck (she tried to take it). I didn't have enough money for a lawyer to keep going to court and fighting for all of these things. So I ended up settling and just fought for keeping possession of my Dodge, as I need it for getting to and from work. The final court ruling was clear, and I was, for the most part, content with the outcome. Although my ex-wife was a cosigner on the Dodge loan, the judge granted me full possession of said vehicle:

"4.3
Automobiles.
b) Upon the effective date of this Agreement, if not already accomplished, BRIANNE will have assigned to CHRISTOPHER all of her right, title, and interest in the automobile driven by CHRISTOPHER (2020 Dodge Durango). Thereafter, the vehicle(s) will be CHRISTOPHER's sole and exclusive property. He will be solely responsible for, and pay, any and all liens, claims, and other costs and expenses incurred in the past or future as a result of the use, operation, or ownership of said vehicle. In addition, CHRISTOPHER shall be assigned his Dodge Durango. CHRISTOPHER shall indemnify BRIANNE from any and all obligations under the loan. Upon payment of the loan in full, CHRISTOPHER shall have the authority to sign any document for the sole purpose of transferring the title into CHRISTOPHER's name."

After court fees and lawyer expenses, I started to fall behind on my truck payment, so I reached out to the bank that financed the Dodge. Sometime around 04/2025, the bank set up a "payment reduction plan," which was a huge help, and I started to get caught up on the balance. However, my ex-wife is a cosigner, so she still has access to information regarding the vehicle. She called the bank and told them, "I did not authorize the payment reduction plan." By doing so, she is going against court orders. The result of my ex-wife's actions: the "payment reduction plan" was canceled on her behalf, my account was flagged as extremely delinquent, and a repossession was issued for my truck. On 7/18/25, my truck was repossessed. In order to regain possession of the vehicle, I need to come up with $5,800 by 08/07/25.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
