Support Chris in Overcoming Adversity

Hi, I'm Chris. I run a YouTube channel called Kratom Kingdom, educating people on the pros and cons of Kratom. However, in 2003, I suffered a massive stroke, causing me to be 95% disabled and paralyzed on my entire left side. I was a special education teacher and a full-time psychology student earning my master's in abnormal child psychology. This master's degree made it possible for me to teach the most difficult and misunderstood students in the county.

After my stroke, my wife of 21 years decided I was a burden because my income was gone. She met a wealthy and healthy man while I was in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital for a month. When I was released and sent home, my wife told me I had 30 minutes to pack everything I wanted in my car and move to my parents'. Confused and disoriented, I moved to Knoxville, TN. At 54, I was living with my parents. My ex-wife sold my house, my life savings, and my 401K, totaling $160K.

I applied for disability, which afforded me some food but not enough to rent my own place. I finally moved into government housing, and my father, who did everything possible to keep me happy and safe, bought me an amazing MacBook Pro to start my YouTube channel. It is a great outlet and hobby for my creativity. In one weekend, some bad people stole my computer, cameras, TV, and my car. So, I am forced to use my old 2013 Mac computer that doesn't run the programs for my YouTube channel. I need $500.00 to purchase a Mac Mini and camera. My YouTube channel is very close to being monetized, meaning I could earn enough money to live with dignity.

When everything was stolen, my father suddenly died of a heart attack, and my mom has never been the same. I use most of my disability check to buy her food, medicine, and care for her while I fall deeper into debt. I'm at my wits' end with no friends or family left. I am all alone and scared. Anything you can do to help me get a new computer is a step towards living a "normal" life. I'm tired of living on rice and noodles because I can't afford my food and medicine. I have never asked for help but always provided help. Now I'm in big trouble. My mom is going to pass very soon, leaving me all alone and homeless, living in my car. God bless you all.
