This is Chris. Chris is a senior in Alief. Chris is 18 years old, and Chris is living month to month, struggling to make ends meet while doing his best to graduate and receive his high school diploma.

Chris volunteers at the high school for ROTC, HOSA (Health occupation students of America and anything the school provides. (setting up teacher classrooms, helping out at dances etc)

Alief ISD staff have stepped up to help Chris out during some challenges this summer.

We have been able to get free glasses (thank you America's Best). We were able to get an abscessed tooth removed. thank you Dr. Poorang.

At this time, he is living with a friend sleeping on their couch. That ends at the end of September

We are looking to get him into Covenant House downtown until we can get him to graduate in May... maybe sooner. Plan A is Covenant House.

Plan B is finding a month-to-month hotel.

His mom and dad live in Clear Lake. (It's complicated)

In the meantime, Chris could use a little financial help to finish his senior year strong. Alief Educators are putting this gofundme together to help Chris through his senior year.

He commutes via bike in Alief to school every day and lives on the food provided by the school during the week and food banks during the weekend.

ALL MONEY DONATED WILL GO TO CHRIS TO SUPPORT HIS LIVING SITUATION...(paying rent in October or Metro bus fare to school)
