Support Chris in His Battle with Brain Cancer

Hello, I'm Abigail. I am 18 years old, and the words "brain cancer" have been thrown around for as long as I can remember. Before I was born, my dad, Chris Oravec, was diagnosed with stage 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma. Throughout my life, my family and I have struggled with the reality of his illness. When I was 10, he received a second diagnosis. Now, I’m 18, and my dad has been diagnosed once again, just a few weeks ago. My dad is one of my biggest inspirations and my role model. Unfortunately, his type of cancer isn’t widely researched. Therefore, I am raising money to help him and others who are also facing the challenges of brain cancer. Cancer has profoundly affected my family and many others. My dad's cancer is beyond my control, with his life in the talons of his illness and in the hands of his doctors. The closest thing I can do, aside from being there for him, is to make an impact on brain cancer research and hopefully bring some answers and support to others affected by this illness.
