Help Support Chris Garza's Battle with Thyroid Cancer
Donation protected
My brother in law, Chris Garza, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Papillary Thyroid Cancer about a year ago. He underwent surgery at Cleveland Clinic to remove his thyroid, parathyroid, and as much of the cancer cells that were present in his throat and chest. He also received radioactive iodine treatments, however, those were unsuccessful. His genetic testing confirmed he has a protein mutation BRAF, which causes tumors to grow aggressively and spread easily. Unfortunately, his cancer is not curable, but it is treatable. Chris now has a 7 centimeter tumor on his trachea. His next plan of action will be to take a chemo pill to try and shrink or kill the tumor, follow that with radiation, and hopefully cause his tumor to be small enough to be operable.
Chris has a long road ahead of him, with many expenses. If you can, please consider donating to a wonderful, loving family!
