Support Chris Fite's Family: Restore Their Home

My name is Chris Fite. Recently, my wife and I found mold in our 2-year-old’s bedroom. Upon further inspection, it had spread into all of her toys, furniture, and the rest of the home and ductwork. Our daughter had been sick for weeks, and we ended up at Children’s Hospital after her fever spiked over 104 degrees. The mold caused her to have an infection in her lungs. To top it off, my wife is also pregnant. Currently, we are staying in a hotel while I am trying to get the house safe to live in again.

We have had to throw away all of Summer’s toys and furniture, as well as mattresses and lots of other furniture in our home. I have to have all the ductwork under the house ripped out and replaced, along with the crawlspace encapsulated and a dehumidifier installed. I was quoted $79,000.00 by a remediation company, which is obviously outrageous and impossible. I have help from family and church family with cleaning, but we could really use some help with the steadily increasing costs to get my family back in our home. We could also use any girl toddler toys, books, stuffed animals, and furniture. Thank you
