Hello, I’m Chris Esponda—a DACA Dreamer, Water Protector, Business Owner, and Immigrant Rights activist. On December 30, 2022, my life changed drastically when I was violently attacked by a stranger outside my small business in Shoreline, WA. This brutal attack resulted in a traumatic brain injury and severe internal bruising, requiring several days of hospitalization, extensive medical treatments, and ongoing care.
Before the assault, I depended on my cognitive abilities to run my computer repair business. Unfortunately, the injury has forced me to close my shop on 09/17/24 and adapt to a much slower pace of life. As I continue my recovery, I’m scheduled for crucial surgery on October 22, 2024, which will further extend my healing time.
Despite these hardships, my commitment to my nonprofit mission remains steadfast. We aim to reduce electronic waste and enhance access to technology for underserved communities in the Pacific Northwest and Chiapas, Mexico. You can learn more about our work at Chiapaseducation.org.
I am reaching out for your support during this challenging time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help cover medical expenses and aid in my ongoing recovery. Your generosity will also support my mission and the communities we serve.
Thank you deeply for your kindness, support, and prayers. Your help means more to me than words can express.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Chris Esponda
