Hi Family & Friends -
** Update, January 8 **
William has fully transitioned off the ventilator and is now on a CPAP machine. Doctors are so pleased with his progress. William also got his first taste of milk last night! He's doing so well, and we're so proud of him... but he is still not expected to go home until his original due date (~ March 20)
Emma is now out of ICU and and met William for the first time too. She's experienced lots of blood loss and just had some special medication flown in from California to help her blood clot. She has something that's call "Von Willibrand's" which prevents the blood from clotting. She is in a lot of pain. Her C-Section incision goes vertically, from her sternum to the top of her pubic bone with lots of staples. Emma's expected discharge is Saturday the 11th.
Big brothers have made their way south with grandparents and will rotate between Waco and Houston while Chris and Emma focus on getting William home.
We want to thank you for your prayers, your kindness and your generosity. God is good and we are confident in his perfect plan.

** Initial Post, January 7 **
On Monday, January 6, 5:00pm, our beloved Emma was rushed to the hospital. She was 29 1/2 weeks pregnant, and we were not prepared for what followed.
An hour later at 6:14pm, Emma had an emergency c-section due to complications of placenta previa, and William Robert Orr was born.
William is a little guy, weighing only 3lbs, 5oz. But he is strong. He has already come off the fullness of the ventilator and is currently only using 20%. We're so proud of him.
Momma is strong too, but it's going to be difficult for her. She won't be able to get up and lift anything for several weeks - and she has 2 toddlers at home waiting to hug her.
The timing of this is so hard. Insurance deductibles and max-out-of-pockets are going to be fully applied with extended hospital stays. Even if William is discharged at full term, he will still remain at least 2 months in the hospital.
Would you please consider helping Emma and Chris during this difficult time? They are in need of your prayers and financial assistance.
I've set their goal to $16,000. This will cover their 12k family max, plus additional funds for food, travel and hotel stays while at the hospital.
We know the Lord is good, all the time. And we are confident in is perfect plan for the Orr's.
