Support Chris Douridas: Recovery After Devastating Loss in LA Fires
PLEASE NOTE: Out of respect for Chris’ privacy we would only like to share this GoFundMe link amongst those who know and love Chris. We would appreciate it if you could avoid sharing this link on social media, and, instead, share via text or email to honor his privacy at this time.
Thank you for taking the time to visit this GoFundMe page amidst the incredible amount of tragic losses that have occurred due to the wildfires in Los Angeles. We are making this GoFundMe on behalf of our dear friend, Chris Douridas, who lost his home, along with a lifetime of memories and possessions, in the Pacific Palisades fire outbreak at the beginning of January.
Many know Chris as the warm, insightful voice who introduced them to their favorite artists on KCRW, featured their music on many of the film/tv projects he’s supervised, and given them a stage to perform at his long-running series School Night. But everyone who knows Chris knows how kind, caring, and generous he is to the LA music community and beyond.
While Chris is always the first to offer a helping hand, he is more reticent to ask for help when he needs it, and unfortunately, he needs support now more than ever.
The scope of what Chris and many others in his community have lost is devastating. Beyond the basic necessities, he's lost decades of irreplaceable memories, records, memorabilia, and more. Like many others in this disaster, Chris too is underinsured. Funds from this campaign will directly support Chris’ long-term recovery and be used to address the needs not covered by the insurance/FEMA assistance.
Sending our best to everyone who has been affected by the devastation of these fires. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
