In Loving Memory of Chris Dominguez

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our dear friend, Chris Dominguez, who sadly passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Chris is survived by his two children, Jacob and Riley Dominguez; his granddaughter, Luna; his sister, Jennifer Dominguez; and his partner, Idonya Pinckney.

Many of us in California knew Chris as an avid scuba diver. He was a familiar face in the legendary diving waters of Monterey, often seen supporting his partner’s scuba instruction business, working at local dive shops, or brightening the day with one of his many dad jokes.

As with life, the end-of-life journey can be both emotional and financially challenging. Unfortunately, few are fully prepared for the associated expenses. Below is an outline of the costs we are facing or have already incurred:

Cremation: $3,000

Obituary & Death Certificate: $300+

Celebration of Life: $2,000+

Travel for Immediate Family: $3,500+

Our goal is to raise $10,000 by October 1st to help cover these expenses. If you are able, we kindly ask for your support in any amount — every contribution truly makes a difference.

Chris was passionate about his work with Neptune Warrior in Idaho, a cause close to his heart. If we exceed our fundraising goal, any additional funds will be donated to Neptune Warrior in Chris’s name.
