Supporting My Son After a Terrible Bike Accident

Hi, my name is Chris Docken, and I’m putting this GoFundMe together for my son. Yesterday afternoon, he was riding his bike home from work when he was hit by a car. The driver went through barricades without using a turn signal, and there was no way for my son to avoid the collision. The driver turned out to be uninsured and was arrested at the scene on several federal warrants, according to the police.

My son was taken to the ER with serious injuries. He has multiple fractures in his face, a deep split running from his lip down to his chin, and several other cuts and bruises. Thankfully, he was eventually released from the hospital, but he has a road to recovery ahead of him. He is set to see the plastic surgeon next week.

To make matters worse, his bike was damaged. He had just bought it last week and he commutes to and from work. I’m asking for any help we can get to cover his medical bills and to replace his bike. We’re incredibly grateful for anything you can give, even if it’s just sharing this page. It’s hard to see someone you love hurt like this, and we appreciate all the support more than we can say.
