Support Kara and the Cragin family through breast cancer

Kara and I have felt blessed by God since the beginning: from our unexpected introduction via a close friend, our marriage months later, and throughout the many years of growing our family together. As we’ve walked together through the ups and downs, always trusting where He was taking us, He’s honored us with 5 beautiful children on earth’s side. On March 10th 2025 we welcomed our newest baby boy, Rhys Samuel Cragin. He’s beautiful and the perfect bow on top of our family.

It was only 2 weeks after Rhys was born that we received shocking news regarding Kara’s health. Kara was diagnosed with Stage 3 HER2+ Inflammatory Breast Cancer, a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer.

Even in the darkest of times God has shown his presence. Kara’s physicians and birth team advocated strongly for her to be seen, diagnosed, and to undergo treatment within weeks of her physical symptoms. Having lived in other regions and witnessed healthcare regarding the potential of cancer, we acknowledge how God stepped in when we needed him. The current treatment plan is 6 months of chemotherapy and targeted therapy, followed by surgery, and then finally 6 more months of followup radiation/chemo.

We stand strongly in our belief that God will work through Kara’s care team and treatment to deliver her through this; healthy once again. He has already blessed us so much and we believe the best is yet to come.

Please know that any donation, even the smallest, helps us through this time. All donations will go towards medical expenses not covered by insurance, childcare as Kara receives treatment, financial losses due to time missed at work, and groceries as we discover what Kara can and can’t eat.
