Hi, my name is Chris, and I live in Burleson, Texas. I’m currently working two jobs—at Cava and as a delivery driver (Dashing)—to keep a roof over my head and food on the table. It’s a tough, temporary situation, but I’m pushing through it with everything I’ve got. I work every single day, no days off, because I have to.
That brings me to why I’m reaching out.
The car in the photo is mine—his name is “Lee”—and he’s been my partner through thick and thin. I own him outright, and he’s essential to my work and survival. I’ve put a lot of time and effort into keeping him running, but today, October 27, 2025, while I was out delivering, the transmission finally gave out. It’s done.
Thankfully, my mechanic has already located a used transmission that comes with a 1-year warranty. The total cost for parts, labor, and installation is $2,600. I just need help covering it.
Anything you can contribute will go directly toward getting Lee back on the road and helping me stay afloat. Once he’s running again, I’ll post a video of him in action—and of me personally thanking each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. In a world that can feel cold and overwhelming, your support reminds me that kindness and love still exist—and that gives me hope.
With gratitude, Chris
