Chris was recently diagnosed with stage III Esthesioneuroblastoma, a very rare cancer (only 700 known cases in the country) whereby the tumor starts in the olfactory nerve in the cranial cavity and makes its way down to the sinus cavities. This past Wednesday, Chris underwent a 7 1/2 hour surgery whereby the phenomenal Dr. Solares and his team were able to remove the tumor that was growing in his sinus and cranial cavities.
While we are ecstatic with this news, we know Chris has a long road to recovery as the follow-up visits and 6 weeks of radiation will soon begin. All the while, he is unable to work and his bills will begin to pile up. He will need help to cover the cost of his medical bills, as well as the cost of living for the next four months until he can get back to work full time. Chris is a fighter and never one to ask for help, but we know what a financial burden all of these expenses will be for him.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the overwhelming support you have shown Chris and our family through your calls, texts, cards, and most importantly, your prayers. We have all felt them.
Please visit Chris' CaringBridge page to learn more about his journey to beat cancer. In Chris' own words, cancer picked the wrong dude!
