Hello, my name is Dawn Benoit. I am Christopher Benoit's mom.
My son Chris has been fighting Stage 4 tongue cancer for just about 5 years. He has been through it all: radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, clinical trials, hospitalizations, and then some. If it was presented to Chris, he went with it. About a year ago, Chris tried another clinical trial, and it worked; it wiped out the tumor and cancer. The doctor said it was microscopic. One year later, here comes that cancer back with a vengeance. It put Chris back in the hospital for another 2 weeks. The tumor is growing, so Chris agrees to a 3-chemo treatment. It didn't work. A recent CT scan shows the tumor is growing. The doctor says, "Sorry, we don't have any more treatments for you. You will be referred to hospice."
Chris, with his will to keep going with his fight, researched for himself and found a place called Envita to treat cancer. This place is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. They treat your cancer personally to your needs. They do tests to see what is the best protocol and attack the cancer cells and not the good cells. The treatment is 10-15 weeks. The cost of this treatment can range up to $145,000. Sounds like a lot, but for someone's life, it's nothing. My son's life is priceless, and he has such a fight in him because he wants to see his children grow up, walk his daughter down the aisle, and just be there if they need him.
This is why we are asking for donations to get Chris the treatment he needs to continue a life with his family.
