Hi all. I created this fundraiser on behalf of my father in law Christopher Roberts. On Wednesday, December 27th while working, Chris is believed to have suffered a medical incident while he was driving, causing him to veer off the road and go airborne through two fences off the highway. When officers responded, he was unresponsive and was not breathing. Chis was successfully resuscitated on scene and had to be airlifted over 75 miles to Dell Seton in downtown Austin. He was then prepped for life saving brain surgery to remove a clot caused by the impact of the accident. Chris fought through a 4 hour brain surgery, and is now in the ICU being closely monitored 24/7 and is on life support. He is in rough condition as he has severe brain swelling and multiple fractures in his skull, ribs, and limbs. Chris is currently in a medically induced coma and was paralyzed to reduce any movement. His vitals are currently in good range, but his doctors would like to monitor him for a few days before they attempt to wear him off sedatives and see how his brain responds.
Chris is the sole provider for his wife, mother in law, and children. His family means everything to him, and he means everything to us. We continue to be at the hospital by his side every day to show our love and care for him. His wife Christine has generously been gifted a meal train by her friends, so she can by her husbands side. This fundraiser is meant to lift the financial burden for her and her family left by the absence of Chris. All donations will be passed on to his wife Christine to help with ongoing medical bills, payments, and the overall support of him and his family while he continues to fight for his life.
