Help Us Ride for Our Veterans – Support Chris' and Zafer's Cannonball Adventure Across America

Hello, friends, family, and supporters of a good cause!

We’re Zafer Ercan and Chris Morris, and in June 2025, we’ll be riding over 4000 miles across the United States from Seaside, Oregon to South Padre Island, Texas on our Yamaha Zuma 125cc scooters as part of the Scooter Cannonball 2025, the longest and most challenging scooter endurance event in the world.

Why are we doing this?

Because we believe in riding for something bigger than ourselves.

We’re raising awareness and donations for OATH, Inc., a nonprofit that supports U.S. military veterans through outdoor adventures, healing experiences, and peer support. Many of our veterans face invisible battles long after returning home, and OATH gives them the space, community, and purpose to thrive.

The Challenge

The Scooter Cannonball is an 8+ day endurance event where riders cover 400+ miles per day on scooters not built for long-distance travel. Most riders use high-powered touring machines, but we’re intentionally choosing small 125cc scooters to draw attention and honor the challenges our veterans face every day.

We’ll ride through mountains, deserts, small towns, and everything in between with no support vehicle, no backup plan, just us, our gear, and the mission we carry.

What Your Support Helps With?

Every dollar you donate goes directly to OATH, a nonprofit organization that empowers U.S. military veterans by reconnecting them with purpose, camaraderie, and healing through outdoor experiences and peer support.

We are not raising money for ourselves; we are covering all travel, lodging, gear, and rally expenses out of our own pockets. This GoFundMe campaign is solely to support OATH’s mission and help them expand their reach and impact across the veteran community.

Why Now?

The 2023 Scooter Cannonball was featured in a documentary "The Big Scoot" on Amazon Prime, and a new documentary is being filmed during the 2025 event. We’ll have the chance to represent not only the cause but also every one of you who supported us on this journey. Your name, your belief in this mission, will ride with us every mile.
