Our Family’s Worst Nightmare
On October 17th, our lives changed forever. My husband, Chris, was taking our two young children to a pumpkin patch when an unprovoked act of violence turned a normal family outing into a living nightmare.
Without warning, a man attacked Chris in front of our children, which left him stabbed multiple times and bleeding on the side of the road. Our babies watched in horror as their dad collapsed, terrified and crying out for help.
A close family friend who was with them did everything he could to save Chris — using his own hands, a jacket, and anything nearby to stop the bleeding while waiting for help to arrive. It took 27 minutes for the paramedics to arrive but It felt like an eternity. By the time they reached him, he had already lost so much blood.
By nothing short of a miracle, Chris survived. His injuries were severe, but somehow no major organs were hit. We truly believe God was with him that day. He’s now home recovering, surrounded by the people who love him.
While we’re endlessly grateful that Chris is alive, the emotional and financial toll on our family has been unimaginable.
Our children witnessed everything. We are now facing the long road of trauma therapy, medical follow-ups, and lost income while Chris heals.
We are doing everything we can to stay strong, but the reality is that recovery is expensive — from medical bills and therapy to repairing what was damaged and trying to rebuild a sense of safety for our kids.
❤️ How You Can Help
If you can, please consider donating to help our family through this recovery period. Every dollar will go toward:
• Medical and therapy expenses
• Lost income during Chris’s recovery
• Basic family needs while we heal
If you can’t donate, please share this page and keep our family in your prayers. Your support, love, and kindness mean more than words can ever express.
We’re holding onto faith, love, and the miracle that Chris is still here with us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
