Support Chris and Connie's Medical Misfortune

Donation protected
Hey to all who are taking the time to check out this page, I can't begin to express my gratitude - Thank you just doesn't seem enough - Just know you are all appreciated! And to be clear, Connie and I don't have a "goal" on the amount of money we hope to raise although one is necessary to create this page - Please know that any donation is greatly appreciated!

Anyway, I'll get to it - My name is Chris Gregor (CG to all who know me). Many of you may already know our story, but for those who don't, here you go. In April of 2022, my wife Connie (Sweet Pea:-) and I were busy managing the golf course on San Juan Island near Friday Harbor. On April 19th, I was diagnosed with a severe case of blood cancer (multiple myeloma) and was airlifted to the hospital in Bellingham that night. Unfortunately, one of the effects of the cancer was it shut down my kidneys. I immediately began dialysis and have been on it ever since. The good news is that while I nearly died, with a positive attitude, excellent medical care, and the love and dedication of my beautiful wife, my cancer, while not cured, is in remission. Wahoo!! Consequently, I have an opportunity which I or my doctors ever thought I would, a chance for a kidney transplant. Hence the reason you are viewing this page.

Because Connie and I have been healthy and hardworking for so many years, it is beyond difficult to reach out for help. Unfortunately, my medical circumstances have given us little choice. Due to my need for daily dialysis for the past 2 1/2 years, we have been unable to earn an income. On Sept. 20, 2024, I was cleared for official placement on the national kidney transplant list. This is great news; however, we could be waiting two or more years without the ability to work. Consequently, Connie and I find ourselves in need of financial help.

Your donations will help cover a variety of expenses - Including monthly rent and bills, costs associated with new kidney treatments and medications and any unforeseen expenditures.

P.S. - In addition to monetary donations, I am actively seeking living kidney donors (Hmmm.. Money and a body part, hardly too much to ask:-) - Anyway, Connie and several friends have volunteered to donate, and of this writing my friends had health issues that precluded them from donating and Connie has just begun the required health screenings - If you have any interest in potentially giving the gift of health and freedom back to me, I have created a web page that will answer all of your questions and provides links to national kidney sites and U of W Medicine kidney care - Check it out at: https://golfwa.com/cgkp - Thank you again!
