Hello everyone,

We are reaching out during one of the most difficult times our family has ever faced.

My brother, Broski, Chris G., was recently involved in a devastating and unexpected freak accident that caused severe, traumatic injuries to his leg. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition as a Tier 1 trauma patient, the highest level of emergency care, where at several points his life was hanging in the balance.

We are incredibly thankful to share that his wife and their young daughter are safe. While that brings us some relief, Chris’s condition although stable, remains very serious.

Chris underwent an intense 9-hour surgery the first night, including several blood transfusions, and while we are beyond grateful that he is still with us, his injuries are extremely severe. Doctors are doing everything they can, but there is still a very real possibility that he may lose his leg. In addition, the extent of the trauma puts him at risk for serious complications, including infection and further medical issues, which may require additional urgent procedures. He is expected to undergo additional surgeries and faces a long uncertain road to recovery.

Chris is the primary provider for his family, working hard every day to support his wife and daughter. With him unable to work during this critical time, the financial burden has become overwhelming. This fundraiser is to help support Chris with ongoing medical expenses, additional surgeries and rehabilitation, loss of income during recovery, support of his wife and daughter and possible relocation expenses as we figure out next steps.

Chris needs our help more than ever.

Nos estamos comunicando en uno de los momentos más difíciles que nuestra familia ha enfrentado.

Mi hermano, Broski, Chris G., estuvo recientemente involucrado en un accidente devastador e inesperado que le causó lesiones graves y traumáticas en su pierna. Fue trasladado de urgencia al hospital en condición crítica como paciente de trauma de Nivel 1, el nivel más alto de atención de emergencia, donde en varios momentos su vida estuvo en peligro.

Estamos increíblemente agradecidos de poder compartir que su esposa y su pequeña hija están a salvo. Aunque eso nos trae algo de alivio, la condición de Chris, aunque estable, sigue siendo muy grave.

Chris se sometió a una intensa cirugía de 9 horas la primera noche, incluyendo varias transfusiones de sangre, y aunque estamos profundamente agradecidos de que todavía esté con nosotros, sus lesiones son extremadamente graves. Los médicos están haciendo todo lo posible, pero todavía existe una posibilidad muy real de que pueda perder su pierna. Chris es el principal sustento de su familia, trabajando arduamente todos los días para apoyar a su esposa e hija. Al no poder trabajar durante este momento crítico, la carga financiera se ha vuelto abrumadora. Esta recaudación de fondos es para ayudar a apoyar a Chris con gastos médicos continuos, cirugías adicionales y rehabilitación, pérdida de ingresos durante su recuperación, apoyo para su esposa e hija, y posibles gastos de reubicación mientras determinamos los próximos pasos.
