This is Choro. She's a four-year-old former stray, and she needs some help.

My wife and I rescued her one month ago and have been caring for her. She was ripping open trash bags to get food, so we were really glad to start giving her regular meals and a comfortable place to sleep.

We took her to the vet and received some troubling news: she most likely has cancer, she is FIV+, along with some other issues.

If you noticed from photos and videos, she keeps her tongue outside her mouth perpetually because the cancer is on the roof of her mouth, and she can't keep her tongue inside her mouth without pain.

The mass on the roof of her mouth has been biopsied, and we are waiting for the results, but her vet gave her 3 months to a year to live regardless. Because of that, we are trying to make these months peaceful, happy, and painless. We are administering pain medication to her daily to keep her calm and happy. These need to be refilled weekly.

Unfortunately, the bills for her treatment increase steadily, with the biggest bill being for that biopsy. My wife is pregnant, and we have two other beautiful cats in our family too. We are still saving to take care of everyone, but we couldn't help but support this sweet girl when she needed it.

The current total of her medical bills is around ¥105,000, or $714. We expect more bills to come, with refilling her pain medication and whatever we can do with the results from the biopsy. If we don't end up needing more money, I will repay any donations above what is needed.
