Support Chops Kimble's Liver Transplant Recovery

My name is Melissa Kimble, My Husband Chops Kimble, has been battling cirrhosis of the liver since May 25, 2023 . After several attempts to get a new liver, we were blessed with a donor July 16, 2024. Over the last 14 months, my husband had to stop driving trucks for a living due to the meds he was on and his inability to stay awake for a long time. This journey has been physically and mentally demanding on him, it’s also been financially demanding on us as a family. With having one income coming in and me not being able to work 40 hours each week due to having to take him every week for drs appointments, we have reached the point now that we are asking for help.

We are grateful for those who have helped here and there over the last year but now that the surgery has been done and he starts his road to recovery, we will be staying here for the next 8 weeks. We have to pay for an Airbnb for him to stay in, plus our own home and bills. With being here for the next 8 weeks, it means that I won’t be working, which will make a larger demand of our finances. Chops has worked in this community for a long time and he has probably shook your hand, hugged your neck or had a good laugh with you. Now he is the one who needs help.
