Support Chonies' Medical Journey

Donation protected
On behalf of our beloved friend Chonies, I am making this gofundme to help support her and her family in this difficult time to help with medical bills and personal expenses due to her being out of work. Chonies means everything to us and we are praying for a diagnosis and fast recovery ❤️‍

I've attached her full story below:

On July 6, I woke up to the bottom of my feet tingling and feeling numb. I began to get up and make breakfast when I felt the feeling moving up to my calves, and a friend recommended I go to the ER; I got scared so I ended up going.

The ER Dr. said I had anxiety and paresthesia, then discharged me, sending me home with Hydroxyzine which I didn't want to take.

The next 4 days the feeling started going up to my thighs. I went to the joint chiropractor and got adjusted from an Instagram ad, hoping it might just be a pinched nerve.

3 days later the numbness went further up to my torso/back. I got scared again and went to the ER, where they admitted me for 2 days. They performed 3 MRI's and a CT scan of my brain. They wanted to rule out Guillain-Barré syndrome.

After running a bunch of blood tests, EKG, everything came back normal so they discharged me; but I was still numb.

2 days went by at home and I started feeling weird again and was starting to freak out. I decided to go to another hospital for a second opinion.

At the 2nd hospital they gave me an IV and took care of me better than being admitted in that other hospital; but I still was numb.

The next day I went to a family doctor to get a referral for a specialist because I know he has been in the medical field a while and has seen it all.

He said it might be peripheral neuropathy but might also be signs of MS or Lyme disease, so I need to do more tests. He gave me Gabapentin 300mg 3x daily but it was making me feel weird, like I was on a tranquilizer.

I had a friend offer a body massage hoping it would help. Two days later I had another friend who wanted to help me with a gua sha massage. She got out all my knots out, leaving me feeling brand new!

Yet the numbness has not subsided; which is bothering me and not allowing me to be your nail tech.

It's so depressing to go through this and I know many of you are concerned. I ask for prayers, and if there's any help/information you might come across, please share it with me.

Can't wait to be back full time doing what I love to do and also be there for you! As your friend, sister, therapist, and nail tech.
