Hi everyone!
If you know me personally or have been following me for a while now, you guys might remember my Chompa boy!
If you’re new here, this here is my 4.5-year old Basset Hound, Chompa.
I don’t really post too much of what’s going on in my personal life so thank you if you take the time to read, share and/or donate.
Early this month, my family and I found a lump on Chompa’s chest/neck area and was advised that it wasn’t an emergency and to book a vet/medical exam.
Within almost 2 weeks from finding it, his lump grew FASTER than expected! Thankfully, the appointment was a few days away (Thursday, October 16th).
When taking Chompa to his appointment, the doctor did seem very concern with how fast the lump grew and stated that it could be Cancer. (And yes, I bawled hearing this!)
He did advise taking these two steps:
STEP #1: They would stick a needle in the lump to gather some samples to take in for testing (would take about 3-7 business days to get the results back). This will give more details in what’s causing the lump.
2ND STEP: Proceed with a Mass Removal Surgery, which will include a pre-operation lab, x-rays, medicine, etc.
I did proceed with the first step, as I would like to catch anything now that Chompa is still young and waiting for results. But I know this will require surgery.
Even with pet insurance, each step is required full payment upfront. So I ask if you are in any position to help donate to my Chompa boy, we’d be grateful and appreciative!
Once again, a BIG thank you if you took the time to read this!
