Chloe, my daughter, was diagnosed with a low grade tumor in the occipital lobe of her brain in October 2024. Since then, our family has faced a whirlwind of medical challenges. Chloe has bravely endured a brain biopsy, countless EEGs, MRIs every few months, an SEEG procedure, frequent blood draws, and an at-home oral chemotherapy regimen. She’s also been on three different seizure medications. Just this month, Chloe underwent surgery to finally remove the tumor. Throughout this journey, she experienced 3-4 focal seizures every day that we could see, and many more that were invisible to us. The toll on her daily life has been immense—she’s missed a tremendous amount of school for appointments and procedures, and the recovery process is ongoing. After surgery, Chloe will be out of school for at least six weeks. She now needs physical and occupational therapy because the tumor removal has caused her to lose her peripheral vision on the right side. To help her catch up with her peers, she’ll also need tutoring due to the significant time missed in class. The financial strain has been overwhelming. Funds raised will go directly toward Chloe’s therapy, tutoring, travel for medical care, and home expenses that have piled up from missed work. We are deeply grateful for all the support and prayers we’ve received so far. Thank you to everyone who has contributed or is able to help in Chloe’s recovery. This journey has been a struggle both mentally and financially, and your kindness means the world to us.
