Chloe is that person who lights up every single room she enters. She makes friends everywhere she goes and has such a huge support system that surrounds her. She was born in January of 2020 with a list of medical issues. She was born at 36 weeks. When she was born, it was discovered that she had only one kidney, and it was half the size it needed to be. Her jaw was also underdeveloped, so it was too far back, causing her to have trouble breathing and an internal cleft palate.

She had to have surgery on her jaw to move it forward 1.5 cm to help her breathe easier. She stayed in the NICU for 45 long days and went through two surgeries during that time. By the end of her first year of life, she had undergone 6 surgeries. She is quite literally our million-dollar baby.

They ran some tests to determine what was going on with her, and the following is what she is currently diagnosed with: Nager Syndrome, Chronic Kidney Disease (End Stage), Cleft Palate, Hearing Loss, Asthma (mild), Difficult Airway, Failure in Growth Development (due to CKD), and Severe Anemia (due to CKD).

Despite all of her health challenges, she is extremely charismatic and absolutely loves making friends. Her favorite things are playing t-ball, going to school with her friends, playing with her big sister, and watching K-pop on repeat!

She has entered End Stage Renal Failure and is on the National Kidney Transplant List. She became active on the list on September 22, 2025. Chloe just underwent surgery to get a peritoneal dialysis port put in to begin dialysis. She will stay on dialysis until she is able to receive a new kidney.

Both her father and I have to make three trips a week that require six-hour round trips each day and train for four hours each day to learn how to properly administer Chloe's dialysis to her at home. The expenses are starting to add up quickly. We will keep slowly knocking down her medical bills as much as we can. This has been our normal life for the past almost six years, and we are thankful for each day we get to spend with one another.

We have received multiple messages about people wanting to be able to donate to her bills. We do not want to pressure anyone into donating or anything like that. If you decide that you would like to help in Chloe's medical journey, here are the things that the money will be used for: fuel to get back and forth from the hospital, food while we are there (she gets Pizza Hut personal pizza every time), any hotel stays that are absolutely necessary, and medication costs.

I'm sorry this post is long, but I wanted to give you some of her background and a clearer picture of what is going on. Our family is beyond thankful to everyone who has had Chloe in their prayers and who has helped us along our long journey. Thank you so much!
