**Help Chloe Get the Surgery She Desperately Needs**

Hello everyone,

My name is Emmet McElhinney, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help for my beloved daughter, Chloe. Chloe is a bright, energetic, and loving 25-year-old who has been enduring constant pain due to a medical condition that urgently requires surgery.

Her L4 & L5 discs are protruding & the L5 disc is pressing on the S1 nerve in her spine. This is giving her pain in her lower back, hip & down her right leg into her toes. She is currently prescribed zomorph, oramorph, gabapentin, paracetamol, duloxetine & lidocaine patches to try help with the pain but they are not working. She has also had a guided steroid injection into her back which wasn’t successful. The only thing that would cure her pain would be a discectomy which is a spinal surgery.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to secure the necessary surgery through the NHS in Scotland in a timely manner. The waiting times are incredibly long, and Chloe's pain continues to worsen every day. After consulting with her doctors, it has become clear that the only way to alleviate her suffering and give her a chance at a normal, pain-free life is to go private for the surgery.

The cost of the surgery, along with the associated medical expenses, is overwhelming for our family. We need to raise $16000 to cover the cost of the operation, post-operative care, and any additional treatments Chloe may need during her recovery.

Chloe is a fighter, and despite her pain, she continues to smile and bring joy to everyone around her. She dreams of returning to her favorite activities, spending time with her friends, returning to work and just leading a normal life again. With your help, we can make that dream a reality.
