Support Chloe's Fight Against Portosystemic Shunts

This is Chloe, my friend’s 1.5 year old pug. Today, according to my friend, Chloe was disoriented, drooling, and not coming when called. Her pupils weren’t dilating, she was staring off into space, and she kept going to corners of the house and just pressing her head to the corner and standing there. Panicked, she rushed Chloe to the ER vet.
Little Chloe has received a diagnosis, and she urgently needs treatment and hospitalization. My friend is doing everything she can, but treatment is expensive, and I’m hoping we can help her to help her baby.
Chloe has been diagnosed with having portosystemic shunts. According to ACVS, this means she has an “abnormal connection between the portal vascular system and systemic circulation” and it can cause symptoms such as: ataxia, seizures, blindness, head pressing, and more. The ACVS article is linked here with more information on the condition and its treatments.
