My name is William Daly and my daughter Chloe battles Cerebral Palsy every day of her life. My wife and I have tried to stay ahead of her spasticity to avoid contractures through botox and phenol injections and physical therapy. Since 2020, her knee caps have been dislocating whenever she bends them. She had a muscle release procedure done in March 2021 in hopes to stop her from dislocating but it didn’t work. Chloe has been in chronic pain from the knees, hips and back.
After seeking several orthopedic surgeons, and given 2 options: A) A two part procedure. Bilateral osteotomies and very extensive bony knee reconstruction, with
6-8 weeks in between for recovery just for one leg. Option B) Lateral muscle release, which will hopefully keep the knees in place. We have decided to go with the latter, only because we have to try the least invasive and less extensive route.
Comfort and pain management will be our priority as Chloe recovers. Thankfully after visiting the Abilities Expo, We found an awesome chair that will provide the comfort she needs. It is from Freedom Concept ChillOut Chair. It is a specialized chair that provides the proper position and support for what her body needs.
We are hoping that we can get the help we need to purchase the chair for the amount of $4200. The original price $6800, but was able to get discounted price and still have the accessories Chloe needs. This is always a last resort to ask people to help as everyone has their own problems of their own. We truly appreciate your time, love and support. #TEAMCHLOE
