Support Chloe Lindberg’s Fight Against Leukemia

8:29AM on 8/29, impeccably timed, so classically Chloe. The often told story of her birth is entering this world as a medical phenomenon. Her umbilical cord simultaneously tied in a perfect knot and wrapped around her tiny neck. Our parents recount the scene - dozens of fascinated doctors and nurses gathered around to witness this once in a lifetime neonatal spectacular. The room buzzing with equal amounts of trepidation and excitement. And, of course, embarrassment stemming strongly from our mom. SPOILER ALERT: she arrived perfect. The point of this story is that Chloe came into this life leaving an impression on everyone who got the opportunity to meet her. This is a fact that has never changed. Anyone who has ever had the gift of being around Chloe is fully aware. I always repeat the line in the song “Belle” from the film, “Beauty and the Beast” to Chloe, that “it’s no wonder that her name means beauty” (regarding Chloe’s middle name - Belle). Her soul has got no parallel.

Chloe has always been the support system to everyone. She has an uncanny ability to listen and comfort. She is warm, generous, creative and funny. I could use a billion adjectives to describe her but none of them would be enough to capture the essence that is our sister. But the one that has been the most apparent over this past week is STRONG.

On December 7th 2019, Chloe, age 25 was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia), a type of rapidly progressing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy in the hospital. Now, it’s Chloe that needs our support. Chloe is a deeply sensitive person. Everyones well wishes, beautiful words of encouragement and prayers have touched her more than you’ll ever know. The support is all she needs to help aid her through this tough battle.

We, Chloe’s family, have created this fund on her behalf. Due to her hospital stay being for an uncertain and long period of time, she will not be working during this time period. We desperately want her to feel financially safe and to fulfill her view on life. Chloe’s view on life has always been that we are here to have experiences, to have fun, to be happy, to love and (specifically in relation to the above statements) to go for your dreams. Chloe’s ultimate dream is to own her own business. She has created tons of designs and vividly envisioned her future but prior to the cancer diagnosis had not saved up enough money to start it. Our goal is to use part of this money to help Chloe start her dream career.

Chloe will also need money to help with  aftercare as she will be unable to work for many months because she is forced to leave due to the illness. Specifically this part of the money will be used for food. It is vital and required that Chloe eats fresh and healthy foods.

Lastly, some of the money will go towards taking Chloe on a fun vacation. She deserved this before but she especially deserves this now.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring about Chloe enough to even visit and read this page. We appreciate everyone more than you’ll ever know. Thank you so much for your support. It is invaluable to us. Please don’t feel like you need to give anything. Just sharing a favorite story you have about Chloe to keep her positive or sending good vibes and prayers is appreciated so much.
