Help Harold "Chip" Kraushaar Fight Stage 4 Prostate Cancer
Hello everyone,

I’ve created this GoFundMe for my father, Harold “Chip” Kraushaar — a kind, resilient man who has endured more than anyone should over the past year and a half.

In May 2024, my aunt found my dad in his apartment, barely alive. He was rushed to the hospital, where he remained for 2.5 weeks due to complications from being overprescribed blood thinners. That was just the beginning. He spent another 30 days in a rehabilitation center, and since then, he’s faced multiple hospitalizations related to those initial issues.

These medical emergencies have drained his savings and left him with overwhelming bills — all while he tried to recover and stay afloat.

Just a few weeks ago, we received devastating news: Chip has been diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer, which has already begun to spread to his bones. While we’re working to adjust his insurance to help cover some of the costs, the reality is that he’s facing a long road ahead — filled with treatments, medications, and expenses that insurance won’t fully cover.

This fundraiser is meant to ease the financial burden so my dad can focus on what matters most: fighting for his life.

If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If not, that’s okay too — please consider sharing this page to help us reach others who might be able to support or spread awareness.

Raising Awareness for Prostate Cancer
Did you know that 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime?

Early detection is key. When caught early, prostate cancer is highly treatable — but many men don’t get screened until it’s too late. That’s why it’s so important to talk to your doctor, even if it feels uncomfortable.

Here’s what you can do:

Know your risk: Age (especially over 50) and family history are major factors.

Talk to your doctor: Ask about screening options like the PSA blood test.

Encourage the men in your life: Remind fathers, brothers, and friends to prioritize their health.

Don’t wait for symptoms: Be proactive. Get checked.

Let’s support Chip — and help others by spreading awareness that could save lives.

Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
