Chilly here, mom says I can't act like Im 17 anymore. Its been hard not being able to see the past three weeks. I haven't been able to jump up on the bed to cuddle my humans, or on the toilet to scream at her while she showers. I have the courage and physical agility of at least a 12 year old. Everyone always tells me how young I look. I LOVE that. But I need some help from my humans friends and family.

Mom isnt able to use CareCredit and my care is adding up, but I need to go to the vet again soon. I'm in perfect health except for this sudden loss of sight. The vet thinks that its treatable, but we need to find out if its due to high blood pressure, or a genetic clotting disorder.

Sometimes animals have good days and bad days, and they think I've had my blood pressure monitored on JUST good days so far. The techs walk away and I sit there so patiently and still! Except for my tail when I hear them leave…..I LOVE the attention I get when they come back, they pet me and hold my tail still.

I need to know if I have a clotting disorder or high blood pressure; both of which give me a real chance to restore my vision because they’re treatable. I miss jumping up on things to say HELLO in the morning, using my muscles to stay HOT and FIT at 17. and not having to learn how to navigate with my whiskers....

Thank you for your help, really anything at all helps. I just want to see again. It’s been a change.

Sam here, Chilly’s mom. Chilly is my 19 year old companion and up until recently, he has been in perfect health. Over the past three weeks, he has suddenly lost his eyesight, and it’s been heartbreaking to watch him adjust to this. Despite his age, Chilly is still full of life and love, and I want to do everything I can to help him! Unfortunately, CareCredit isn’t an option for me, and the vet bills are quickly adding up as we search for answers and treatment options.

Chilly needs to go to the vet again and this will go directly toward that. He needs repeated bloodwork, including specialized tests to see if he has a clotting disorder, as well as blood pressure monitoring. With this additional testing we can determine the vets hunch; whether Chilly has a clotting disorder or high blood pressure, both of which are treatable and could give him a real chance to regain his vision.
