Fro the last 12 years I have brought my graduate students who are studying special education to Mexico to work in specialized schools for children with disabilities. During the pandemic many schools were vandalized and robbed and they have still have not recovered. They missing necessities such as A/C units for the classrooms and basic classroom supplies. This year we are raising money to purchase and install one air conditioning unit to help out. The rooms are so hot and humid and I have seen children literally asleep on the floor given the heat. So I am asking for your help to purchase the A/C unit and I have secured volunteers to install it once we arrive. We will purchase the A/C unit in Puerto Vallarta and I have local friends who can help transport the unit to the school. Any remaining funds will be spent on books, games, and other classroom supplies. Please consider helping us out wiht this important project. Anything helps and it really will make a difference!
