Support “Children of Today” at ALTER EGO Festival 2025

Help us bring a powerful contemporary dance work to the international stage in Sofia, Bulgaria.

One of our recent works, Children of Today, has been officially selected for the International Theatre Festival ALTER EGO 2025 in Sofia. This is a significant step for Pinkmetalpetal Productions, a small but passionate Dresden-based company committed to daring, post-dramatic dance.

This is not just a performance — it’s a conversation with the world.

What we need

Although the ALTER EGO Festival generously covers accommodation and meals, we urgently need to raise €3,000 to cover:

Travel costs for 4 artists

4 Artist performance fees

Due to recent cuts in international touring support at the Goethe-Institut, we are unable to rely on traditional arts funding to make this trip possible. That’s why we are turning to you.

Why this matters

Since I began dancing professionally in 2005, dance has been more than an art form — it has been my way of understanding the world. In 2016, I turned to choreography, eventually studying at the renowned Palucca University of Dance in Dresden. Since graduating in 2021, I’ve worked full-time to build my choreographic voice through Pinkmetalpetal Productions.

Artistic careers like mine are fragile. International festivals like ALTER EGO offer crucial visibility, not just prestige, but practical gateways to future opportunities and financial sustainability. With every invitation like this, we inch closer to building a company that works not just project by project, but with real continuity and presence.

This performance asks: What do we want to do with this world?

It’s a question of hope, of reckoning, of what kind of future we’re dancing toward.
