Running for Every Mind
13.1 Miles for Neurodivergence & Mental Health
On August 2, 2026, I’ll be running the Queens Half Marathon in Flushing Meadows, Corona Park to raise money for Child Mind Institute, with a fundraising goal of $1,000.
As someone who is neurodivergent, I care deeply about the intersection of neurodivergence and mental health, and how much early understanding and support matter. Over time, I’ve come to appreciate how meaningful it can be when youth have access to the tools, care, and encouragement they need to better understand themselves and navigate the world.
Child Mind Institute supports children and families navigating mental health challenges and learning differences through evidence-based care, education, and research. Their mission resonates with me because I believe that healthy habits, support systems, and feeling understood early in life can shape wellbeing for years to come.
Completing my first half marathon showed me that I was capable of more than I expected, and somewhere along the way, running became something I truly enjoy. While I’ll definitely be chasing a personal pace goal this time around, I wanted to use this race as an opportunity to support a cause that means a lot to me.
My first half marathon was about finishing. This one is about running for something bigger than myself.
Any donation is deeply appreciated. And if you happen to be in NYC on race day, I definitely won’t complain about extra encouragement along the course :)
Thank you for supporting me and this mission as I train toward August 2.
