Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out on behalf of my brother Dan and sister-in-law Kari to support their cherished dog, Chief.
Chief is more than a pet — he's family. His loving, gentle nature has left a lasting impression on everyone he comes across. Recently, Chief faced serious medical challenges that led to the amputation of his front leg. Since then, he’s been in and out of the emergency room, trying to recover and adjust to a new way of life. It’s been heartbreaking to watch him struggle, but if you know Chief, you know he’s a fighter.
Chief is the ultimate good boy — fiercely loyal and full of love. He’s an amazing big brother to David and Matias, always patient and protective. He’s also a familiar face in the neighborhood and a beloved member of the Bridgeport Boys.
Most of all, Chief loves his mom and dad with all his heart — and he never misses a chance to cuddle or sneak a snack. If there’s food nearby, Chief’s not far behind!
Dan and Kari have done everything they can to get Chief the care he needs, but the medical expenses — surgery, emergency visits, medications, and ongoing rehab — have added up quickly. That’s why we’re reaching out for help.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Chief’s recovery. If you can’t give right now, please consider sharing this campaign with others.

Thank you for supporting Chief and the wonderful family that loves him so much.
With love and gratitude,
Marissa Ortiz (Tia Marissa)
