Hello all, I'm a proud Puffer parent and an animal fanatic! And when I heard Chief's story, I knew we had to help him as he and his pal Toby have helped so many students. Please read below and donate whatever amount you can to support Chief through his cancer journey.

Since 2021, Chief has been a comforting presence at Henry Puffer School, bringing joy, support, and companionship to countless students. Alongside his therapy dog friend, Toby, Chief has spent his days listening to students read, sharing in their stories, and helping them build connections across grade levels. His gentle spirit and loving nature have made him an irreplaceable part of our school community.

Last week, Chief suddenly fell ill and stopped eating. After an urgent trip to the veterinary ER and a visit with an oncologist, he was diagnosed with stage IV lymphoma. While this news is heartbreaking, there is hope—Chief has started chemotherapy, and he has already shown signs of improvement, even beginning to eat again. His doctors are optimistic that with treatment, he has a strong chance of going into remission.

Chief has given so much love to our students, and now he needs our help.! Veterinary care and chemotherapy are expensive, and we want to do everything we can to give Chief the best chance at recovery. If you are able, please consider donating to help cover the cost of his treatment.
