Cancer Strikes Twice at Chicken Coop St. Peters
This past year has been tough for the owners of the Chicken Coop, the place where locals order the best fried chicken for the past 19 years. Robin, Zaneta, and Audreanna Wood have worked tirelessly to build their dream into a reality. Over the past year, Audreanna, daughter of Robin & Zaneta, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rectal Cancer and has been receiving treatment over the past year. As if this wasn’t enough for this small family to deal with, now Robin, owner & head fryer, has just been diagnosed with an aggressive form of liver cancer with limited treatment options. Being a small family business, this year has been a struggle to keep going. Now the family is stressed again between supporting their loved ones and keeping the business going. Robin’s legacy has always been to provide for his family. Losing the business would be devastating to all of them, especially Robin. To minimize the financial stress this has been for the family, ALL donations received will be given to the family to pay bills, uncovered medical treatment expenses, and to keep the business viable until they can get back on their feet. Any help you are able to give is greatly appreciated.
