Providing our children with a non-replaceable positive experience, will serve as an additive life lesson, of how the benefits of perseverance and confidence will complement their future.
As a vibrant young teacher of dance in the public sector on the south side of Chicago, Tish grew frustrated with the decline of community centers in urban areas.
In 2001 she decided to create a solution called ‘The Empiire Dance Company’.
With over 3,000 championships, TV and magazine appearances on the national level and currently servicing 200+dancers, she celebrates ages 3-40, showcasing talents from ballet to foot-working and jazz to hip hop. Most recently Latisha was honored as the Grand Marshall of the Bud Billiken Parade, a historical first for a dance team
Empiire Dance Company is a non-funded traveling youth entity, created to teach, and showcase dance of all genres. Empire has a annual summer camp, and two main local shows - Mayhem and Halloween Showcase. The team is best known for their creativity and perfection of chorography. Unmatched thus far.
We have a network of professionals that have partnered with us to make dreams come true, but it's just not enough. We tag (ask for monies) during the spring/summer months but's it's not enough.
The economy has changed, and the challenge is too keep the kids engaged in positive, educational activities to steer them into professional fields that will keep them from negative activities which is unfortunately all the news seems to portray.
Please donate to help the kids, purchase uniforms, pay for travel fees, feed them and continue to compete and win!
Please be a part of the solution!
