My name is Chhaya Deonauth, and I am a proud Junior Theatre and Performance major at the prestigious Spelman College. While I have worked tirelessly to secure funding for most of my tuition through scholarships, FAFSA, and by juggling part-time work during breaks and the school year, I find myself still needing assistance to cover the remaining balance for this semester.

Spelman College is more than just an institution to me; it is my sanctuary, a place where I truly feel I belong. Choosing to attend Spelman and embracing my mission to "change the world" has been one of the most transformative decisions I have made in my life. However, like many historically Black colleges and universities, Spelman faces significant challenges in providing sufficient financial support to its students.

As I strive to achieve my goals, I am applying for scholarships daily and balancing a part-time job alongside my full-time studies. I recognize that many families are facing financial difficulties, especially during these trying times. If you have the capacity to contribute, your support would not only ease my financial burden but also empower me to focus on my education and future ambitions. Your generosity could truly change the course of my journey, and for that, I would be incredibly grateful.
