How do people start these things?! I guess I'll just start off by saying who I am and why I'm starting this in the first place.
Hi. My name is Cheyenne and I hate that I'm even doing this, but with the circumstances at hand, I'm really left with no other option at the moment. On the night of July 3rd, I decided to work a little bit to make up some money to take my daughter to a local fair on the 4th after the parade and watch their fireworks. Well, unfortunately, life had other plans... As I was finishing up my one and only order for the night, I managed to miss a step as there was no outside light on, managed to twist not one, but BOTH of my ankles. Almost immediately, they were swelling and bruising, and I knew I couldn't walk, but I managed to drag myself to my car to dial 911. After getting to the hospital and sitting for some time, I learned that my right ankle had been fractured and dislocated from my foot. And my left, while not as bad off, was severely sprained and has a small fracture in one of the bones in my foot. So with that being said, I am unable to put weight on either foot and had to get checked into a hospital after giving it the old college try and trying to go home (or rather to my parents as I live in an upstairs apartment) and realizing fairly quickly that I could not get around like originally hoped. My parents even went as far as to move their whole house around and try to lift me, but after trying and failing to use the bathroom, I finally broke and decided to go back to the hospital. After getting back, they decided it's probably a good idea to do surgery on the right one and I'll likely be in the hospital for some time until I can work with PT enough to put weight on my left foot, as I won't be able to use my right for at least 6 weeks... which, in turn, makes it impossible for me to work or even Uber to try and make up any cash... I will be going through the disability process and I already filed a workman's comp with Uber but there's no guarantee I'll be paid enough to stay afloat and with disability, if you know anything about it, you know it takes forever to actually process and (possibly) get approved. I'd likely be mostly healed up and able to work again by the time I even saw anything from them. And by then, I'd likely already be in debt... so that's why I'm here. Please do not feel obligated to send a lot, honestly any help would be GREATLY appreciated, more than you can even understand. So I just want to say a HUGE thank you ahead of time for anyone who does donate <3
